The recitation of seven Our Fathers, Hail Marys and Glory Be's is a devotion commonly practiced in the Church that the faithful were already praying in Medjugorje before the apparitions of the Virgin.
At the beginning of the apparitions, the Virgin invited us to pray this devotion for Peace in the world, in our families and in our hearts, hence it is known as the Rosary of Peace.
At the end of each Holy Mass in St. James Parish in Medjugorje, all the faithful kneel and pray the chaplet with great devotion.
